ACMA selects Adnexus

Adnexus is pleased to announce its selection for the provision of field services by the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA).

The ACMA is the statutory authority within the federal government portfolio of Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy. The ACMA is responsible for the regulation of broadcasting, the internet, radiocommunications and telecommunications.

Adnexus views its selection as an important milestone and an endorsement of the company’s experience and reputation in the Australian radio communications and telecommunications services industry.

“This has been a long held goal and we are all very excited to be working with the ACMA. It’s a great endorsement of our reputation for attention to detail and quality and our customer-centric approach that we have developed over the last decade working on carrier and government communications networks,” said Jeff Gresham, Adnexus MD.

Adnexus and CoverTel combine on Telstra GPS Project

Adnexus is working with CoverTel to deploy GPS technologies at most of the critical HUB sites on one of Australia’s leading carrier networks, with installations crossing many of Australia’s State borders. “There is a great need for faster and broader transmission networks. The new synchronous networking equipment allows for this bandwidth, but the data is required to be tightly synchronised across the entire network,” commented Jeff Gresham, Adnexus Director. “This synchronisation is made possible by the use of atomic clocks. With GPS as a primary reference source the entire country-wide network elements operate synchronously, greatly reducing the amount of buffering required between these elements. Ultimately it delivers the Quality of Service required to stay competitive in Australia’s telecommunications industry.”
