Adnexus deployment team gets AAPCS/Ericsson Mini-link Certified

Adnexus Communications Field Engineers and Technicians in NSW and VIC have successfully completed AAPCS Ericsson Certified training for the installation and commissioning of Ericsson Mini-links. The company’s staff ranked at the top of the training class with 100% of technicians achieving High Distinction gradings in the qualifying assessment. “This training is really about ensuring quality and consistent installations of sensitive and sophisticated equipment,” commented Adnexus Communications Managing Director, Jeff Gresham. “Our staff worked very hard whilst on the training course and our own in-house training sessions contributed to the certification.” “It was our sole intention for all staff to rate very highly in the examination as part of our commitment to quality. We are confident that these results will carry over to very smooth and defect free field deployments.”

Welcome new VIC Manager

The appointment of Adnexus Communications’ new Victorian State Manager was made official yesterday with Toby Dean, former Victorian Projects Manager stepping up to perform the roll. “The creation of a P&L responsible Victorian State Manager was essential to spearhead our growth in the State. Having secured our foothold in the New South Wales market, now is the time to really invest in our Victorian business,” commented Jeff Gresham, Adnexus Managing Director. “Toby has been an outstanding performer and is a founding team member at Adnexus and we are thrilled that he has accepted this new challenge.”

Going sky high with new rigging capability

Adnexus Communications has increased its portfolio of installation and commissioning services and will now offer advanced rigging services to its NSW and Victorian customers. The company has developed a Rigging Training and Certification program, implemented by Holmesglen Institute of TAFE in order to upskill technicians to perform working at height installations. The company has also recruited three advanced riggers in each state to lead the teams through the transition. Heading up the rigging division is Chris Jones. Chris is one of Australia’s most experienced RF communications rigging specialists having deployed networks and rigging projects across Australia. Prior to joining Adnexus, Chris worked with NDC, Vodafone and One Tel. “Generally, riggers like to stick purely to outdoors work. However, increasingly, the technical knowledge required to build an end to end transmission system requires technical engineering experience and RF technicians to work at height. “The fact that our technicians are now able to also perform the roles of riggers means that we can 100% guarantee the quality of our installations and it also opens up more opportunities for Adnexus to help our customers with very technical, at height installations,” commented Chris Jones, Adnexus Outdoor Construction Manager.

So it is important to be close by. “We are expecting further growth in terms of project and team numbers and revenue for the State this year and Bayswater will provide the right base to launch our new aggressive push.”

Exploring North America Opps

Adnexus Communications Pty Ltd has commenced its international expansion plans with the establishment of its North American office in Oakridge in the state of Tennessee with a Los Angeles based office to open in 2006. “The goal is to gain a foot hold in the west and east coast CDMA and 3G markets. We are actively recruiting sales talent and building our project teams,” said Jeff Gresham, Adnexus Communications’ Director. “There is significant demand for network deployment partners that have real 3G experience and a proven track record in tackling tough CDMA upgrades.” “North America represents a great opportunity for Adnexus and our team. It is a large market that is really in its infancy in terms of value added services. “The challenge for carriers is ensuring technology advancements are deployed by services partners that appreciate the bigger picture, rapidly overcome obstacles and work to the bottom line.
